Rihanna loves her Betty Boop!

RIHANNA has been spotted in this shirt on more than one occasion and it's obvious she's a fan of the Rocker Betty Boop. She was most recently seen in the shirt in the airport a few days ago, rocking it with a black sweater, torn jeans, huge shades and her Gucci Baboska bag.
She rocked it before in black while out to eat, with black pants and a gold belt. The next time she was making a Popeyes run, pairing the shirt with red jeans, gold belt, and red Louis Vuitton Gina shades. I think Rocker Betty reminds her of her "Good Girl Gone Bad" side, what do you think?

Notice Anything Familiar?

New photos of BEYONCE recently surfaced where the singer was rocking more of a high-fashion couture look and I couldn't help but notice the extreme similarity to the YSL Campaign that NAOMI CAMPBELL shot earlier in the year. The whole vibe of the shoot seems very similar, so much that some of the poses and garments almost seem identical.

Here are the shots I thought resembled one another the most:

Shot #1: Genie pants, l/s white blouse, same stance.



Shot #2: Same style of jacket, pant, and shoe and pose...basically identical.



Shot #3: This is a little different from the previous two. Not so blatant, but the swagger and the positioning of the pose is pretty much the same. B's just sitting, while Naomi is doing more of a lean.



Both ladies look amazing, as they're undoubtedly two of my fav "friends in my head!" lol Love it!

Double Takes: Dawn's Chloe Shoes

DAWN of Danity Kane loves her Chloé Strappy Shoe Boot! They are very cute and I posted on them a while back when I first saw them earlier in the year. I love the way the heel is made and the overall shoe is just hot.

They retail for about $740. Dawn rocked them on two separate occasions, very different each time. First she dressed them up with a colorful satin dress, which I can't say I'm loving but a second time around she scored some points in my book with a more casual look.

A simple white top, stonewashed skinny jeans, and retro shades complete her look. I personally love the shoe and would def grab it if they were in my budget....but right now they're not, so...moving on. lol

Double Takes: Solange's Checkered Pumps

The rising star wore a pair of pumps recently for a performance that were similar to a pair she wore back in December. The black and white checkered pumps appear to be different as far as height of the heel, but the overall concept is the same.

I love the way she wore them the second time around but I'm sure that has to do with the amazing dress she's wearing with it. Chick definitely knows how to pull that 'different' card and keep it waaayyy classy and cute. Me likey!

Double Takes: Beyonce

This edition of "Double Takes" features the new Mrs. Carter. She has been such a fan of CHANEL and she wears it to plenty of events! Last night she attended an event at her hubby's 40/40 Club in celebration of the "Heart of the City." She wore a very cute black dress with leather gloves and a huge signature CHANEL belt....and last but not least these shoes! The shoes are from CHANEL'S Resort 07-08 collection and are very eye-catching. She was also spotted in them back in February during All-Star weekend in Las Vegas @ the "Two Kings Party" (Jay-Z & Lebron James). Double Takes: Nicole Scherzinger's Entire Outfit

This is pretty rare, unless you're known for rocking a uniformed look like say...Lindsay Lohan. But for Pussycat Doll NICOLE SCHERZINGER, I was pretty surprised. Remember this "Double Takes" section is not at all criticizing people for wearing the same thing twice, it's just something I've created for when I spot the same thing, typically on the same person, twice. Sometimes it's a shirt, a pair of shoes, a jacket, or a bag....but this time it's the entire outfit! The PCD first wore this black cropped pea coat, thick black belt w/square buckle, high waisted wide leg jeans, and black bracelet back in October to a KISS FM event. She recently stepped out for dinner at Mr. Chows last week, looking identical to herself (down to the hairstyle) almost 4 months ago. I think it's great if you love something so much you wear it more than once, in fact I think it's silly to buy something you don't see yourself re-using! So SCHERZINGER was obviously feeling herself from head to toe back in October, because she threw it on again. It's kind of silly to ask which time do you think it looked better, as I usually do, because there's no difference in the two shots. But anyhow, she looks amazing both times!

On The Hunt......

....for LINDSAY'S shoe!

I saw LOHAN in this shoe twice in the past week. Once to the 3rd Annual Los Angeles Italian Film Festival, and again while out and about on Valentine's Day. I am thinking they are the CHANEL'S famous Cap toe Spectator pumps, but I am not too sure. Either way, they are hot, but since they are on Lindsay's foot, I'm willing to bet that the come from CHANEL. I could only find black and white versions of the shoe, and not the cream and black color LiLo is donning. I would definitely rock these! Very, very Cute! Oh and her dress in the first shoe is adorable! This dress & shoes was the very closer runner up for my "Look of the Week," but I think I found another. She is the fashionista that I think has her style all figured out and she always finds a way to change it up just enough to keep us watching. Double Takes: Kerry Washington

KERRY wore these STELLA MCCARTNEY shoes back in November to an awards ceremony and then just recently to a Valentine's Day gala. She is an impeccable dresser, so she never ceases to amaze me, but I am totally loving this look! The shoes look great both times around and create two different looks. I can't decide which one I like better, the coordination of the shoes with the latest dress is however probably my fav. I wish I could raid HER closet! KERRY is always dressing to impress. Loves it!!

Double Takes: LiLo's American Apparel Tights!

These hot leggings have a little twist to them in comparison to your typical legging. The trend caught on quickly and has not yet died down. I personally love it, but it's about time that it's changed up a little. American Apparel is the company behind the beautiful colors that have taken us by storm in the past few months. I love the variety of colors available and the different materials too.

LiLo, as I affectionately refer to her as, embraced the newer design from American Apparel, however she is sticking with her uniformed black choice. I personally would love it if she'd add some color to her wardrobe, but I do have to admit, she looks amazing either way. LOHAN was spotted out and about numerous times, once picking up more items from American Apparel, wearing the "Shiny Nylon Tricot Legging." I am going to purchase a few myself, and I will probably add some color unlike LiLo, but of course nothing too bright. She pairs the leggings with ankle boots, knee high heeled boots, fur coats and hoodies. I love the different looks and she even got little sister ALIANA better known as ALI, in on the trend. They both look cute here, and ALI has obviously been taking notes from her big sis.

Double Takes: Rihanna

RIHANNA has taken a liking to her new pair of YVES SAINT LAURENT "Charlotte" wooden heel pumps! I said it at the end of summer that the Wooden heel was coming, and it looks like my prediction was accurate. I am loving the shoes that feature this style of heel, it spices what would otherwise be a very boring shoe, up a little. RIHANNA was spotted out and about this week in Los Angeles and Berlin, rocking the same pumps very differently.

The first time she wore the shoes she made the look a bit more funky than I would have imagined the shoes, but it works. She wore a pair of cut off denim shorts, a white graphic tee, black vest and black and white triangular scarf. Very cute!





The next time the songstress bundled up while in Berlin, rocking a pair of black knit tights with the heel built in and a white chunky turtleneck. She kept warm with in an olive green coat, lined with wool and a pair of leather gloves. P.S. her LOUIS VUITTON bag is cute!

The shoes go for $495.00, and if you are not trying to shell out that much you can try the alternative. I have a pair that are similar, and very cute and comfy! The shoe is from a catalog company called ALLOY, and you can either do a paper order or visit alloy.com and click your way to satisfaction. They are much more attainable at only $34.50, much closer to my budget :) The are a bit shinier and feature a peep-toe, unlike the YSL version, however, I personally prefer the peep toe as far as style goes. It is called the Candy Apple Heel, as it is also available in Candy Apple red, and is designed by CHARLES ALBERT.

Double Takes: Rihanna

These two dresses/jackets will definitely make you do a double take; but it's RIHANNA on two separate occasions wearing what looks like the same things, but it's not. The first is a yellow plaid Jean Paul Gaultier she wore at a rehearsal with patent knee high combat boots. The next is more of a dress, but with the same overall concept. I think the first time is cuter, but I like both....after-all they are almost the same thing! :)

Double Takes: Beyonce, Tina Knowles & Kelly Rowland!

This edition of "Double Takes" is a little bit different than previous ones. The focus of this one, is a pair of boots. Apparently these 3 women all wear the same size, because they were all spotted wearing the same pair of boots. These black, pointed toe, stiletto boots, with pearl and rhinestone embellishments, are the the pair have traveled more than some people I know. Had these 3 women been completely separate individuals, but the fact that they are family, I'm willing to bet that these particular pair were passed around. I would like to note that I am not in any way spinning this so that it seems like a "bad thing" but rather just something I noticed. I'm all for switching and swapping....why not?!

Last year, the first person who wore these boots was BEYONCE, with the matching bag while out with boyfriend JAY-Z doing a little shopping. I am loving her top in these shots!

Soon after, Beyonce's momager TINA KNOWLES threw on the boots, minus the matching bag with a black long sleeve top and jeans for an appearance on TRL promoting their joint clothing line House of Dereon.
I noticed the sharing of accessories last year, but thought nothing of it. I mean, they are together all of the time, and since I know these boots weren't cheap I see no shame in sharing them!

But it looks as if when Tina and daughter Beyonce were done with them, they passed them down to Destiny's Child group member KELLY ROWLAND. She was spotted this week in London at a performance wearing the same boots, with a black skin tight cat-suit inspired one-piece. Hey, if Beyonce was my best friend or daughter, I'm sure we'd be wearing the same thing on more than one occasion too! lol

Double Takes: Janet Jackson

Janet, or Ms. Jackson if you're nasty has gotten her hands or should I say her feet on the hottest boots of the fall. Gucci always has the cutest boots, and as far as shoes go, they usually outshine the competition if I must say so myself. Janet obviously agrees, as she was spotted wearing the "Bonnie High Heel Platform Boots" twice last week. The first time I saw her in them was when she appeared on 106th & Park to promote her new film release "Why Did I Get Married?" The following time, she and boyfriend Jermaine Dupri were spotted at the launch party for his new book "Young, Rich & Dangerous." She goes with a very fitted pant and a blazer both times but lightening up the look the second time around with both a cream blazer and pant. She looks good both ways, but I like the darker approach, probably becuase the straps on the jacket match the boots perfectly. Here are a few shots from the Fall/Winter 2007 Runway show where these boots were premiered. They are shown is various ways, which reflects the versatility of this oh-so-stylish shoe. I noticed that Rihanna has taken a liking to a certain pair of leopard stiletto pumps and a gold shoulder bag. You all already know how I feel about her style and fashion sense, so I won't be redundant. She is pictured leaving TRL a few months back as a guest host and again leaving Mr. Chow's after dinner. She went for a completely different look each time. First Rihanna goes with accentuating the gold bag with matching gold jacket and accessories, sticking with a simple black Cami and black skinny jeans. The next time she pairs the shoes with the bag she dresses it up a bit with a sheer black cashmere sweater, black skinny jeans, a black beret, and more minimalistic jewelry than last time. She looks good both ways; 2 basic accessories, 2 completely different looks. Love it! xoxo

Beyonce is obviously a fan of Marilyn Monroe. She was spotted out and about with Jay in Monaco on a shopping spree wearing this white v-neck tee with a black and white picture of the sex symbol. The first time pairing it up with hot pink silk shorts with gold accessories, and a over-sized Louis Vuitton bag. She was recently spotted again rocking the same top but this time she opted for dark skinny jeans, patent leather stiletto boots, and a "MISS TINA" belt.
