Who Wore What: Hot Looks

When I saw this dress, the first thing I noticed were the colors. I love the purple with the red. I just styled an outfit for a friend with the same color scheme, and it turned out just as cute! Claudia Jordan is pictured at Kim Kardashian's birthday party @ Les Deux with Aubrey of Danity Kane.

Next up is Cassie. She is pictured doing an MTV appearance promoting Diddy's female clothing line. I love this white dress/top with the gold bottoms. I can't tell if those are shorts or a part of the top but either way it's hot. I love the shoes, but only for this outfit.

And in ultra-boho chic we have Zoe Kravitz. I love the way she dresses, she reminds me of one of the Olsen twins (Mary-Kate). The hat and glasses add the rocker vibe and she pulls it off so nicely. Love it!

Boob Tube: Reality TV

The show we've all been waiting for....well @ least I know I have: RUN'S HOUSE! Season 4 will premiere October 25th @ 10:00 pm on MTV. The family is all back under one roof, and will be focused on adopting a new addition to the family due after the unfortunate passing of their baby girl last year. You gotta love this family, be sure & watch!

From a different side of the tracks is Ms. Keyshia Cole. She too has a reality show which will be premiering it's second season on BET October 30th @ 10:30 pm. The show picks up where it left off last season, with Cole trying to balance her successful music career and her family issues. She moves her family in with her down in Atlanta, and is trying to break her new artist Amina into the industry, all while maintaining her own sanity. This should be a good season...I'll be tuning in.

MUSIC is LIFE: Brandy is recording!

It seems all my questions about this girl are being answered within days of my posing them, and I'm so excited to know that Brandy is back in the recording studio working on her new album. Norwood interviewed with PEOPLE magazine and expressed that she desperately wants her fans to get an album from her soon.

“I’ve just got to get that album out,” the pop star tells PEOPLE. “I have to get it out, if it’s the last thing I do.” She continues, “I’ve been gone for a long time. I really want to give the fans something that they deserve to have. So, I’m working really hard on this. I really want to make it the best work I’ve done so far.”

I'm excited! :)

The Hotness: Denzel, Denzel, Denzel......

Well, we have Denzel Washington who will be gracing the cover of the November Issue of VOGUE Magazine. He's absolutely like wine: getting better with age. I can't believe he's 53! You will be seeing him more and more becuase we are vastly approaching the release of his move "American Gangster," due in theaters November 2nd. Enjoy the eye candy! :) xoxo

I Love My.....

VELVET BLAZER!!!

"Is that velvet?!" HaHaHa! If you don't know what movie that is from you should be ashamed! lol. No but it seemed like an appropriate reference for this post on what seems to be the hot new thing in men's suits: the Velvet Blazer. It is a look that took a while to catch on, as I remember TI and Sean Combs wearing them last year but none the less it has.

First up is Samuel L. Jackson, who attended the Fashion Rocks event London rocking an entire velvet suit. I like the look, but I think I'm pretty sure that any other color but black would not have gone over so well. Jackson went with a silver satin collar-less short with no tie.

Both attending the American Gangster movie premiere this weekend are Evan Ross and Common (who is pictured below in "For My Fellas"), who also went with velvet blazers. Common is already genetically blessed, in other words hes highly attractive, butt he suit he placed himself in this weekend took him to a whole other level! Opting to keep it ultra classy he wore a white collared dress shirt and solid black tie. Ross, whom I honestly cannot tell if his blazer is navy or black (but I'm going with navy) went the casual route pairing his blazer with a black v-neck t-shirt, jeans, and Nike tennis shoes. I like the look for Ross, he is a very original dresser, and I really enjoy his style. I know most people don't necessarily "get it", becuase form other reviews I read, I kind of pick that up. But I love his look 9 times out of 10. Originality is fun....being the same as everyone else gets boring FAST! What a cutie!

The final velvet blazer is worn by a woman! Sharon Leal, both of Dreamgirls & Why Did I Get Married? attended a Women's Health event wearing a black velvet blazer over her pink rose colored knee-length dress with flat gold peep-toe sandals. I am sooo not loving the look, but that's not what this is about. She rocked a velvet blazer, creating a completely different, more conservative look as opposed to only wearing the dress. xoxo

Who Wore What: Weekend Hotness

I'm sleepy, so this will be quick, lol. These are my favs for the weekend. Looks I love from various people with very different styles.

First up is actress Lauren London who is now one of "Diddy's Angels" which is a spokeswoman for his new female clothing line. This spaghetti strapped dress is simple yet stylish at the same time. I love the drawstring just below the torso, which gives the dress some definition. The boots in my opinion were taking a chance that successfully worked out. They could have killed the look but instead they brought it to life. I like them. If this dress is a preview of what we can expect from Mr. Combs' women's line....I'm anxiously waiting. She is pictured with singer/model Cassie whose look is nothing special to me, but it's still cute. PS she and Keyshia Cole seem to have been taking tips from the same stylist, because these same boots were spotted on Keyshia @ the BET Hip Hop Awards; the same place she and London had on the same pants too. And Pauletta (Denzel's Wife) had on the same Burberry shoes as Cassie @ the AG movie premiere too!

Also at the pre-Hip Hop Awards gifting suite was Melyssa Ford. She rarely impresses me with her skin tight, curve-hugging dresses but changing it up a bit, I really like this top she had on. Its a black puff-sleeve top and I just thought it was pretty hot.

Someone else who has truly been catching my eye with her style upgrade is Angela Simmons. I always thought older sister Vanessa was the one who had the fashion game on lock, but I see little sissy Angela is vastly approaching her. The sisters were at Neyo's birthday party last week, while both looking very cute, I think Angie won this time. Her silver 3/4 sleeved dress is hugging her in all the right places and the thick patent black belt completes the look that won me over. Her hair and make-up are hot too.

I was really feeling Tyra's kimono inspired top she sported while traveling to LA this week, spotted in the LAX Airport. The colors are so pretty, and I'm willing to bet that it comes from good friend Misa Hylton-Brim's new line "Madison Star Couture" as some of the looks from it mirror this top.

Most always this woman dresses to impress, but when I saw this look, I truly think it was my fav of the week, and possibly the moth so far. I love this type of rock-chic inspired look and Christina Milian pulled it off effortlessly. She was photographed at a Rock & Republic event wearing these patterned tights, very cute boots, over-sized top and fitted leather jacket completing the look with a matching yellow and black plaid beanie.

Lastly is singer Letoya Luckett at this weekends Hip Hop Summit. She always looks very nice and this time is no different. This blouse is very different and I love the gathered look it has along with the deep v-neck. The skinny black pants and sandals go well but the reason I picked the look was mainly because of the blouse. xoxo

For My Fellas: GQ Ain't Got Nothing On Them!!

Not only did the stars if American Gangster come out to the MY premiere this weekend, they did it so very stylish and classy. The men in particular really showed up and set an example for the rest of my young men out there on how to really put a look together! Pictured below are Diddy, Jay Z, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Common.

Me No Likey: The Weekends Worst

I don't post these often, unless some things are truly disturbing and unfortunately that was the case this weekend. I won't spend too much time on it but here it is:

Keri Hilson disappointed at the Fashion Rocks in London. I don't like anything about the look. The hair looks funny, the shoes are not hot and the leather dress just looks like it is making her hot. I'm sure its a Dolce & Gabbana piece because of the hardware belts that they are incorporating in their looks this season, however it is not for her. Try again Hilson, I am usually feeling her looks, I think she was trying to "HIGH-FASHION" it a little too much and it went bad. :(

Next is actress Kym Whitley at the 5th Annual "Hoodie Awards." And not that I expected much more from her, but I am really disturbed by this look. It is extremely too busy, and as I have already voiced, I do not dig white boots at all, especially these kind. The dress has way to much going on and the jacket and bag must go. I love her, she's hilarious, but I know she was not intending for us to laugh at her clothes, try again my love!

Golden Brooks aka "Miya" for all of you Girlfriends fans, rarely lands on any ones "best dressed" list but I never think her choices that bad. I just sometimes think she needs to get an in-home makeup artist or take some lessons on blending. The clothes are never hideous or anything, but at the T-Mobile sidekick launch, I felt differently. I do not like this dress, whatever showroom her stylist borrowed this from should have gotten her size. It looks too big to me and to top it off, she paired it with my fav shoe of the season the YSL "Tribute Pump." She does the shoe no justice that night, but I sill love Miss Miya! You have to! How can you not?!

Ok, this is the last one I promise! At the same party as Brooks is pictured at above is singer Omarion and rumored girlfriend. At first I was just going to place her on here for the black boots and the jeans she chose, because I do not like the way they come together, but I changed my mind. I want to focus this on Omari. He is known somewhat for his stylish image, always going for the shiny Christian Audiger type style shirts, fitted, but still baggy jeans etc. etc. But at the launch party for the Sidekick LX he seemed to have lost it. I do not know if he was simply trying to take a chance or what but I think he failed tonight. He looks uncomfortable due to the overload of accessories. Anyone who knows me knows I oppose of the whole sunglasses @ night unless a valid reason is in tow, and the scarf and jacket make the look seem forced to me. Not to mention it's way to "matchy matchy" to me...blue glasses with blue shirt, the yellow in the shoes picking up the yellow in the shirt. I just don't like it. No No O....Me no likey! :( xoxo

Who Wore What?: Fashion Rocks in London

Hey everyone! I'm back and while I was away, lots of parties transpired accompanied by plenty of hot ensembles. Check out a few things I thought stood out and were worthy of mentioning.

First and foremost is a woman who I have been rooting for from day one and I'm so excited to see her and her daughter looking so beautiful: Whitney Houston and Bobby-Christina Brown. They were in London this weekend for the Fashion Rocks Event. Whitney presented an award at the show in a white strapless diamond-encrusted Valentino gown. Classic! Looking good ladies!

Also in attendance at the event was Ms. Alicia Keys, donning a black and silver Giorgio Armani gown. I am not too sure if I like it......ok to be honest I am sure, and I don't like it, but she wears it well. I don't think it's the dress, I think it is the fact that for some reason she chose to wear these thigh high stiletto boots....very bad decision. However she manages to still look beautiful.

A woman who never ceases to amaze me: the diva of all divas Naomi Campbell. Her body is amazing and she knows it. Here she poses with her very good friends Dolce & Gabbana wearing one of their pieces. A completely sheer dress, except for the private places, however we all know she is not afraid to show them off. Even though I am not crazy about the dress, Campbell possesses the swagger to rock just about anything and make it look fierce.

My last pick is of Nicole Sherzinger, aka the lead Pussycat Doll. I am loving her look; this purple dress is so classy and her hair pulled back appropriately fits the look. Me likey!

Mid-terms are over!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I won't be posting until Monday because I'm celebrating the end of my mid-terms all weekend! :) Be safe! xoxo

Motion Picture Magic: Halle and Denzel do it again!

Okay....I think these movies are going to be FANASTIC! Both "Things We Lost In the Fire" & "American Gangster" feature heavy hitters in the acting world.

Oscar winner Halle Berry stars as Audrey Burke alongside intensely engaging Benicio Del Toro who plays Jerry Sunborne.
The film is about Halle dealing with the murder of her husband Brian Burke played by David Duchovny and reaching out to Del Toro, her husband's childhood friend, for comfort and sanity in coping with the loss. The two come together to assist one another in prevailing from both the death of Burke and Sunborne's addiction issue. From what I have seen so far, I will definitely be heading to the theaters upon this films release, which is tomorrow October 19th!

Next up is what I think will be the movie of the YEAR! "American Gangster" is the highly anticipated new film starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe among countless other super-stars. Based on a true story, Frank Lucas played by Washington is a drug kingpin-turned-informant who is consistently pursued by detective Richie Roberts played by Crowe throughout the movie.
Lucas rose to power by traveling to Asia's Golden Triangle to make his connections, then shipping heroin back to the US in the coffins of soldiers killed in Vietnam. The film also stars T.I., Common, Cuba Gooding Jr., Ruby Dee, and Chiwetel Ejiofor; just to name a few. I know I will be purchasing my tickets online to guaranteed my spot in the theater on November 2nd! Can't wait. Apparently it's such a good film, Jay-Z was inspired to put out his second post-retirement album which will also be titled "American Gangster" due in stores next month also. I'm pretty sure neither of the parties will disappoint, as they are both pretty much the best at what they do, at least in my opinion.

For My Fellas: Sexy & Stylish

I know I focus a lot on the ladies....but I didn't forget about the fellas! Here are some picks that I thought were nicely put together. There's NeYo who attended the Hugo Boss event in NYC, and then went on to celebrate his birthday later that night. I am loving this look, he's is the king of hats and it sometimes bothers me, but he definitely did the look justice this time. The coat really set this look over the top and is one of the main reasons I chose it. Pharrell is out and about sporting the newest addition to his BBC line. It's a black "M-42" jacket and I like it becuase it is not too big, I like this fitted look. The jacket is available online and comes in Brown and Green also. ps Nelly is rocking it in his new Video "Shawty" in the green color. Lastly, we have Kanye West who brought color into the picture. We can always count on this man to brighten up a situation and he did just that on the set of Kid Sister's unreleased video for "Pro Nails." And of course he added his special edition Louis Vuitton Scarf to make the look all his own. Well done Kanye.

The Hotness: "These Boots Were Made for Walkin"

All of these ladies hit the town this week wearing thigh-high boots: Rihanna attending NeYo's birthday party in New York, Kim Kardashian @ the Launch party for the Sidekick LX (which I posted earlier in the month)and finally Lindsay Lohan out and about enjoying life out of rehab. They all wore dresses with the boots, Rihanna went for a sleeveless sweater-dress, Lindsay paired a black dress and jacket along with the "it item" of the season: the beanie. I absolutely do not like Kim's outfit. It looks cheap, I've never been a fan of white leather boots, and the belt/corset is extremely too big. The purse doesn't really coordinate either, I would have gone with black.

The "Hotness": Gucci Spring/Summer 2008 Preview!

OMG, these pieces are sooo adorable, so I wanted to share a few of them with you all! Expect to see celebs in some of these pieces in the near future!
