I'm sleepy, so this will be quick, lol. These are my favs for the weekend. Looks I love from various people with very different styles.
First up is actress Lauren London who is now one of "Diddy's Angels" which is a spokeswoman for his new female clothing line. This spaghetti strapped dress is simple yet stylish at the same time. I love the drawstring just below the torso, which gives the dress some definition. The boots in my opinion were taking a chance that successfully worked out. They could have killed the look but instead they brought it to life. I like them. If this dress is a preview of what we can expect from Mr. Combs' women's line....I'm anxiously waiting. She is pictured with singer/model Cassie whose look is nothing special to me, but it's still cute. PS she and Keyshia Cole seem to have been taking tips from the same stylist, because these same boots were spotted on Keyshia @ the BET Hip Hop Awards; the same place she and London had on the same pants too. And Pauletta (Denzel's Wife) had on the same Burberry shoes as Cassie @ the AG movie premiere too!
Also at the pre-Hip Hop Awards gifting suite was Melyssa Ford. She rarely impresses me with her skin tight, curve-hugging dresses but changing it up a bit, I really like this top she had on. Its a black puff-sleeve top and I just thought it was pretty hot.
Someone else who has truly been catching my eye with her style upgrade is Angela Simmons. I always thought older sister Vanessa was the one who had the fashion game on lock, but I see little sissy Angela is vastly approaching her. The sisters were at Neyo's birthday party last week, while both looking very cute, I think Angie won this time. Her silver 3/4 sleeved dress is hugging her in all the right places and the thick patent black belt completes the look that won me over. Her hair and make-up are hot too.
I was really feeling Tyra's kimono inspired top she sported while traveling to LA this week, spotted in the LAX Airport. The colors are so pretty, and I'm willing to bet that it comes from good friend Misa Hylton-Brim's new line "Madison Star Couture" as some of the looks from it mirror this top.
Most always this woman dresses to impress, but when I saw this look, I truly think it was my fav of the week, and possibly the moth so far. I love this type of rock-chic inspired look and Christina Milian pulled it off effortlessly. She was photographed at a Rock & Republic event wearing these patterned tights, very cute boots, over-sized top and fitted leather jacket completing the look with a matching yellow and black plaid beanie.
Lastly is singer Letoya Luckett at this weekends Hip Hop Summit. She always looks very nice and this time is no different. This blouse is very different and I love the gathered look it has along with the deep v-neck. The skinny black pants and sandals go well but the reason I picked the look was mainly because of the blouse. xoxo
- I feel a great mascara can open the eye and instantly make you look as though you’ve have a good night’s sleep, even when that is not the case. I use 2-3 coats of Lancome Fatale on the top, bottom, and also on the back of the top lashes.
- Because of my Indian ancestry, I love darkly rimmed eyes – a messy eye adds a sexy yet natural look to a classic outfit. To make the eyes smoky, I use Revlon’s Luxurious Color Kohl eyeliner in Black Truffle on the inside of the lids.
- Bright lipstick is a way to quickly pop an outfit and freshen up a look a la Ava Gardner in “The Barefoot Contessa.” My favorite bright is MAC’s Morange lipstick – it’s a great way to add a twist to a classic look.
- Another way to make your face pop is to fill in the eyebrows. I use Bobbi Brown’s eye shadow in Navajo.
