I don't post these often, unless some things are truly disturbing and unfortunately that was the case this weekend. I won't spend too much time on it but here it is:
Keri Hilson disappointed at the Fashion Rocks in London. I don't like anything about the look. The hair looks funny, the shoes are not hot and the leather dress just looks like it is making her hot. I'm sure its a Dolce & Gabbana piece because of the hardware belts that they are incorporating in their looks this season, however it is not for her. Try again Hilson, I am usually feeling her looks, I think she was trying to "HIGH-FASHION" it a little too much and it went bad. :(
Next is actress Kym Whitley at the 5th Annual "Hoodie Awards." And not that I expected much more from her, but I am really disturbed by this look. It is extremely too busy, and as I have already voiced, I do not dig white boots at all, especially these kind. The dress has way to much going on and the jacket and bag must go. I love her, she's hilarious, but I know she was not intending for us to laugh at her clothes, try again my love!
Golden Brooks aka "Miya" for all of you Girlfriends fans, rarely lands on any ones "best dressed" list but I never think her choices that bad. I just sometimes think she needs to get an in-home makeup artist or take some lessons on blending. The clothes are never hideous or anything, but at the T-Mobile sidekick launch, I felt differently. I do not like this dress, whatever showroom her stylist borrowed this from should have gotten her size. It looks too big to me and to top it off, she paired it with my fav shoe of the season the YSL "Tribute Pump." She does the shoe no justice that night, but I sill love Miss Miya! You have to! How can you not?!
Ok, this is the last one I promise! At the same party as Brooks is pictured at above is singer Omarion and rumored girlfriend. At first I was just going to place her on here for the black boots and the jeans she chose, because I do not like the way they come together, but I changed my mind. I want to focus this on Omari. He is known somewhat for his stylish image, always going for the shiny Christian Audiger type style shirts, fitted, but still baggy jeans etc. etc. But at the launch party for the Sidekick LX he seemed to have lost it. I do not know if he was simply trying to take a chance or what but I think he failed tonight. He looks uncomfortable due to the overload of accessories. Anyone who knows me knows I oppose of the whole sunglasses @ night unless a valid reason is in tow, and the scarf and jacket make the look seem forced to me. Not to mention it's way to "matchy matchy" to me...blue glasses with blue shirt, the yellow in the shoes picking up the yellow in the shirt. I just don't like it. No No O....Me no likey! :( xoxo
- I feel a great mascara can open the eye and instantly make you look as though you’ve have a good night’s sleep, even when that is not the case. I use 2-3 coats of Lancome Fatale on the top, bottom, and also on the back of the top lashes.
- Because of my Indian ancestry, I love darkly rimmed eyes – a messy eye adds a sexy yet natural look to a classic outfit. To make the eyes smoky, I use Revlon’s Luxurious Color Kohl eyeliner in Black Truffle on the inside of the lids.
- Bright lipstick is a way to quickly pop an outfit and freshen up a look a la Ava Gardner in “The Barefoot Contessa.” My favorite bright is MAC’s Morange lipstick – it’s a great way to add a twist to a classic look.
- Another way to make your face pop is to fill in the eyebrows. I use Bobbi Brown’s eye shadow in Navajo.
