Hey everyone! I'm back and while I was away, lots of parties transpired accompanied by plenty of hot ensembles. Check out a few things I thought stood out and were worthy of mentioning.
First and foremost is a woman who I have been rooting for from day one and I'm so excited to see her and her daughter looking so beautiful: Whitney Houston and Bobby-Christina Brown. They were in London this weekend for the Fashion Rocks Event. Whitney presented an award at the show in a white strapless diamond-encrusted Valentino gown. Classic! Looking good ladies!
Also in attendance at the event was Ms. Alicia Keys, donning a black and silver Giorgio Armani gown. I am not too sure if I like it......ok to be honest I am sure, and I don't like it, but she wears it well. I don't think it's the dress, I think it is the fact that for some reason she chose to wear these thigh high stiletto boots....very bad decision. However she manages to still look beautiful.
A woman who never ceases to amaze me: the diva of all divas Naomi Campbell. Her body is amazing and she knows it. Here she poses with her very good friends Dolce & Gabbana wearing one of their pieces. A completely sheer dress, except for the private places, however we all know she is not afraid to show them off. Even though I am not crazy about the dress, Campbell possesses the swagger to rock just about anything and make it look fierce.
My last pick is of Nicole Sherzinger, aka the lead Pussycat Doll. I am loving her look; this purple dress is so classy and her hair pulled back appropriately fits the look. Me likey!
- I feel a great mascara can open the eye and instantly make you look as though you’ve have a good night’s sleep, even when that is not the case. I use 2-3 coats of Lancome Fatale on the top, bottom, and also on the back of the top lashes.
- Because of my Indian ancestry, I love darkly rimmed eyes – a messy eye adds a sexy yet natural look to a classic outfit. To make the eyes smoky, I use Revlon’s Luxurious Color Kohl eyeliner in Black Truffle on the inside of the lids.
- Bright lipstick is a way to quickly pop an outfit and freshen up a look a la Ava Gardner in “The Barefoot Contessa.” My favorite bright is MAC’s Morange lipstick – it’s a great way to add a twist to a classic look.
- Another way to make your face pop is to fill in the eyebrows. I use Bobbi Brown’s eye shadow in Navajo.
