Who Wore What: My Picks of the Weekend

Here are some of my picks of the weekend:

JILL JONES who we all know from the hit TV Series "Girlfriends" wore this gray crew neck dress that I though was so adorable, with a matching top hat and a pair of bronze peep toe shoes. I'm not too sure as to what that is at the bottom, but it wouldn't hurt to lose that part of the outfit. Beyond that, it's a great look!

Gorgeous actress ZOE SALDANA wore this very beautiful white dress over the weekend to the GLAAD awards. I love the draping on it, and I especially like the bow on the left shoulder! Not to mention perfect shoes!

DIANA ROSS came out over the weekend to attend the Iron Man movie premiere and I absolutely loved her look! Not many people agree, but hey, who cares! This jacket is fabulous and I am in love with the color! She threw on a pair of rain boots, and I don't exactly know why but in some odd way it worked!

Model and actress JOY BRYANT, also at the Iron Man movie premiere wore a very interesting top that I adored! It was so different and like nothing we've seen. I love new fresh things on the red carpet! The color scheme works with the very busy top, and I like it!

Supermodel LIYA KEBEDE landed here twice in one weekend. Once at the Tribeca Film festival in a sleeveless knee-length black dress with an amazing par of shoes! I am assuming these are by CHANEL, as they are sponsoring the event, but don't quote me on that!

She's also pictured again in a very cute off the shoulder satin dress that I like in a weird way. This chick can wear just about anything and make it look amazing, and she definitely proves that here. I love it!

MUSIC is LIFE: Oh Jill......

.....you are wonderful! This song just does something to me! The lyrics are so amazing! "You love me from my hair follicles to my toenails?!?!" Sing it Jill!!! I just love love love this song, and if you read the lyrics you'll know why! AMAZING!

"He Loves Me (Lyzel In E Flat)"

You love me especially different every time
You keep me on my feet happily excited
By your cologne, your hands, your smile, your intelligence
You woo me, you court me, you tease me, you please me
You school me, give me some things to think about
Ignite me, you invite me, you co-write me, you love me, you like me
You incite me to chorus, ooh
Ooh...

You love me especially different every time
You keep me on my feet happily excited
By your cologne, your hands, your smile, your intelligence
You woo me, you court me, you tease me, you please me
You school me, give me things to think about
Invite me, you ignite me, co-write me, you love me, you like me
Incite me to chorus
La, la, la...
Da, da, da...
Do, do, do...

You're different and special
You're different and special in every way imaginable
You love me from my hair follicles to my toenails
You got me feeling like the breeze, easy and free and lovely and new
Oh when you touch me I just can't control it
When you touch me, I just can't hold it
The emotion inside of me, I can feel it

Ah...

PEACE + PATIENCE = WHERE I WANT TO BE

We all eventually, and hopefully come to a point in our lives where we have to stop and think "Which road do I take?" Many journeys lead us to this question and we all choose different paths in life, but it is the journey in getting to these crossroads that I think are the true adventure. Attaining peace within one's self is not an easy task and know exactly what peace is is even harder. We are all individuals, and in turn we all have different understandings, ideologies and perspectives on things. My idea of peace may be different than yours, but as long as YOU know what it is to YOU, that is all that matters. I find peace and calm in daily meditation, but this is different from the peace I find is accomplishing something I have set out to do. It takes a very long time for one to find the peace that is being sought, but the main part and one of the most important things to learn in life is PATIENCE. Learning that things do not happen at the drop of a hat and exactly when you may want them to is key to enjoying a happy peaceful life. Impatience is a curse that will only bring frustration and stress. Some define patience as "Enduring Suffering" but I beg to differ. Patience is once again the journey. The time it takes to get where you want to be and to overcome that obstacle ahead of you requires patience and one does not necessarily need to be suffering to experience it. But beware, too much of a good thing may not always be good. Having too much patience can lead to an apathetic attitude and in turn deter one from attaining set goals. We are all living this life one time, so we must remember to do it right the first time! Have patience when it comes to finding yourself, and I need to definitely take my own advice. I am doing my best to teach myself how to be patient and realize that good things do come to whose who wait, but not too long. Okay, I've done enough analyzing and preaching! Lol. Have a great day, and be patient. Don't sweat the small things.

I Love My.....

....GLADIATOR SANDALS! I told you they were coming!

A post I did back in March featured the Gladiator Sandals as something that I thought was "Coming" and soon to be very popular. Since then, no doubt, I've seen them on a few of our favs.

Of course RIHANNA is always on top of the popular trends if she isn't starting them herself. She is pictured here at the LAX airport with a pair of bronzed metallic Gladiator sandals with black cigarette jeans and a Marilyn Monroe shirt.

Next is one of my fav fashionista's LINDSAY LOHAN spotted in a pair of brown/tan Gladiator sandals while shopping in LA at Intuition last month. She wore them with shirt shorts, which I think looks the best with this type of shoe.

SOLANGE
was spotted at Cochella this weekend in a pair of yellow Gladiator sandals, which I have yet to see until now. She wore with them a black and white star dress and a Christian Dior "CD" belt that she also wore a few weeks ago with all black. I like this color and it looks goos on her. *shout our to Concreteloop for this shot*

MUSIC is LIFE: Solange Knowles

The singer mostly known for being superstar BEYONCE's little sister, SOLANGE is getting ready to make her mark on the music world with the summer release of her new album "Solange & The Hadley Street Dreams." She released some promo pics which are vastly similar and reminiscent of Diana Ross' "Dreamgirl" era. She looks amazing and I can't wait for her new project to release.

The Hotness: Rihanna's Earrings

I spotted these earrings late last year, then singer RIHANNA wore them to the Sonia Rykel fashion show in Paris with a very cute one-piece purple jumper, which is also featured in the other post. The earrings are Egyptian inspired and look like they are inscribed with some type of hieroglyphics. They are called the "Egyptian Style Hoops" and are available at WWW.GIRLPROPS.COM. I am going to get a pair myself and rock them this summer!

This N' That

Here's another edition of "This N' That" and then I'm off to bed! I saw a few things that caught my eye, and some of them may end up in the "On the Hunt" section very soon, but here it goes:

CHRISTINA MILIAN'S shoes are hot! I wish I would have bought the similar pair I saw in Bakers for only $80 last year! Oh well, maybe next time! I have also seen these on Beyonce's cousin & assistant Angela.

JAY-Z'S glasses

NAOMI'S shoes

LEONA'S look
. I love how she put the belt on top of her long cardigan. It makes the look so much more interesting. Her shoes are also pretty hot too!

The Indian Curly Must have been on Sale....

Ok, let me stop, but I just couldn't help myself! I had to! lmao *sticking my tongue out*

I Like Her Style: Eva Marcille

There's something about this girls ultra casual-fab (yeah, that's what I'll call it) that really catches my eye. In some American Apparel, bra-less kind of way I am really digging it. She is amazingly gorgeous so i imagine that doesn't hurt, but even still, she puts her "stank" on every look. Whether it is with oversize earrings, ultra high-waisted jeans (pictured in the first shot), or suspenders, she gets it every time! I love how she accessories too, huge earrings, big bracelets and bangles or layered necklaces, but always adding just enough so it doesn't distract from the outfit. I love it!

Bag Lady: Who Wore What?

If you know me, you know I love bags!! I love them all, from big to small (usually big), in various colors and styles. These ladies wore all types of bags, and added a little something extra to their looks.

LINDSAY LOHAN was spotted out and about by the paparazzi, as usual, rocking this Louis Vuitton Speedy 30. This is the Monogram Mini Lin and it goes for about $745.00.

Actress LAUREN LONDON was spotted on the set of a movie she's working on with this huge Dooney & Burke monogram tote bag. She still looks gorgie even dressed down, and of course a fly bag doesn't hurt!

Even fresh out of jail, FOXY BROWN was decked out in the latest fashions. She wore this Louis Vuitton monogram canvas bag that fades to black and had patent pieces on the handles. We also saw Serena with this bag in the speedy version late last year and both ladies look great! Leave it to Foxy to be up on the latest trends right out of the slammer!

TYRA BANKS was spotted at LAX over the weekend looking fabulously fly! She was rocking the "Ombre" Prada bag that we've seen on plenty of people in the past few months including Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Garner. It reminds me of the YSL Muse bag, except the colors fading. She looks great and the bag takes it up a notch.

OMG I love her Wedding Dress!!

Actress TIA MOWRY, was married over the weekend and I just have to point out what a beautiful dress she wore. It was a couture KEVAN HALL gown and it is absolutely amazing! I love the one strap and it's a perfect dress for a pregnant bride. Love it!

Since I know we're never going to get that confirmation from the Carters.....

.....I've decided to compile some pics and make my own JAY-Z & BEYONCE honeymoon! lmao You gotta love it! So here we go:

Walks on the beach.....

Breakfast on the Yacht....followed by a kissing session.

Next, is a toast to the good life, no the great life!! (while B takes photos of her man)

Relaxing in the sun...hugged up!

Taking a dip in the pool....

Standing on top of the world (really their yacht)....

Walking around the city hugged up (how cute!)......

OK That's all folks, lol. Wave "Goodbye" to the CARTERS!

[Thanks to Beyonceworld.net for all those shots!]

The Hotness: How to wear the Black Dress

These ladies are all beautiful and they wear different styles of black dresses in various ways. I love all three of the dresses, as they all have their own "flare" to them.

Girlfriend of mogul Russel Simmons PORSCHLA COLEMAN wore this very cute black dress, gathered @ the neckline, and belted at the waist. The puff sleeve adds some character and I love that she threw on a pair of flats instead of heels, it makes the look so much more interesting.

NAOMI CAMPBELL was spotted coming out of a restaurant in an all black get up, looking very elegant. I love love love her shoes! Thats square toe is amazing! Her dress, also cinched at the waist is a knee length v-neck, paired with a black wrap. CAMPBELL is a fashionista all the time, even on her "casual days." I love it!

Last but not least is the current "it girl" of the moment in music and fashion Miss. RIHANNA. This shot is of her at a performance and she has on what looks like a regular tank dress with somewhat of a tu-tu thrown over it...but I like it. I'm sure it's one piece, but it looks like two. Either was, it's a hot look!

You gottta love this lady!

ERYKAH (sarcastically) gives the skinny on what it takes to make it in the music industry today. Sadly, most of what she's saying is true.....watch it!

My Favorite Artist Out & About!

My all time fav, MAXWELL was spotted out and about in NYC leaving Starbucks....yeah I know its not breaking news but since I love him so much I had to post it! He was wearing a stylish striped electric blue button up, pair of black slacks and tennis shoes. I love it! But you know what I'd love even more? A release! *twiddling my thumbs*

42....Honestly?!

My favorite character from any teen movie ever "Dionne" of Clueless looks exactly like she did back when the movie was first released in 1995!STACEY DASH is absolutely gorgeous and she's letting eveyone know it on the cover of the current issue of KING magazine. WoW is all I can say! Can I puhhh--leezz look this good when I'm 32?! Let alone 42?!! Work it out then Ms. Dash!

ALICIA KEYS covers the newest issue of Blender magazine and dishes inside about an apparent "private breakdown." She looks amazing inside so go grab a copy and check it out!

Both of the ladies are gorgeous and fabulous!

Spring is Here!!!!

RIHANNA is proof that Spring has officially arrived with this floral pantsuit! It's not my fave of her looks but you've got to admit, she is working it! [photo courtesy of Justjared.com]

Look Of The Week: Vanessa Williams

I love this look, what a beautiful Spring color! And as you may already know, I'm a fan of this style of dress....very cute!

Bag Lady: Kelis' Goyard Bag

KELIS was spotted out and about this week wearing a....interesting, for lack of a better word, outfit. She wore a green GOYARD bag with this outift and I did a post back in January on the luxury trunk maker, actually the oldest trunk maker in existence. I don't know about what KELIS paired it up with, but this particular style is pretty popular.
