....High Waist Black skirt with my white blouse!
All of these ladies have a little something in common in: they all rock the same look very well. MELYSSA FORD decided to take the sexier approach, wearing a white blouse with the first 3 or 4 buttons undone exposing that famous chest of hers. The skirt is shorter than the rest of the ladies, once again flaunting those assets that helped her make a name for herself. The fishnet stocking also adds to the sex appeal of this look. And as usual...the black clutch never goes wrong.
Next is a woman whose fashion sense is like a roller coaster to me. JENNIFER HUDSON either hits or completely misses, and sometimes she looks good and others not so much. This time its a hit; she not only rocked the look, she changed it up a bit. The white blouse features ruffles along the collar and the lapel area, paired with a high waist skirt and patent leather belt. The look is very cute on her and hugs her body in all the right places. I'm not too sure about the shoes, I don't hate them but I've always sort of frowned upon booties like this.
Third, is a woman who is also as famous for her body than she is for her acting, Ms. JESSICA ALBA. She goes with a more conservative longer skirt, appropriate for the event she is attending (Children's Cancer Benefit). Alba also has a black patent leather belt on, and deciding to spice it up a bit, she goes with a burgundy croc skin clutch and matching pumps.
Next, is one of Destiny's Children, KELLY ROWLAND. She, like the two women pictured above, also opted for a patent belt with the look but just a thinner version. She has on my fav shoes, so of course she wore this look the best in my opinion! :) The blouse is the cutest of all looks also, with a puff sleeve and ruffle detail. Instead of going with a clutch, she went with a huge FENDI Zucca bag. Lovin it!
Lastly, we have a woman who added some "spice" to the look: MEL B aka SCARY SPICE Taking this classic look in a totally different direction she opted for a white tank top, black high waist skirt with 2 silver diagonal zippers along the hips finishing it up with black patent shoes. We can always count on her to bring a twist in the mix! xoxo
- I feel a great mascara can open the eye and instantly make you look as though you’ve have a good night’s sleep, even when that is not the case. I use 2-3 coats of Lancome Fatale on the top, bottom, and also on the back of the top lashes.
- Because of my Indian ancestry, I love darkly rimmed eyes – a messy eye adds a sexy yet natural look to a classic outfit. To make the eyes smoky, I use Revlon’s Luxurious Color Kohl eyeliner in Black Truffle on the inside of the lids.
- Bright lipstick is a way to quickly pop an outfit and freshen up a look a la Ava Gardner in “The Barefoot Contessa.” My favorite bright is MAC’s Morange lipstick – it’s a great way to add a twist to a classic look.
- Another way to make your face pop is to fill in the eyebrows. I use Bobbi Brown’s eye shadow in Navajo.
