Chrisette Michelle's voice is so smooth and it flows like water. As corny as that may sound, if you've heard her sing, you'll know exactly what I mean. She channels jazz great Billie Holiday, singing below the note, and doing it to perfection. Appearing on the chorus' of two of hip-hops greatest of all time last year, her talent was introduced and showcased, but not in it's entirety. She has much more range than we heard on Jay Z's "Lost Ones" but I think Nas' "Can't Forget About You" was a better sample of what you can expect upon listening to her LP "I Am." If you like Billie, Chrisette will sing to your soul! Have a listen. xoxo
