"PAINTED ON" BLACK SKIN-TIGHT PANTS!
I didn't plan on posting another edition of this so soon, but I came across 3 ladies rocking this look within the last 3 days so I found it pretty relevant. First up we have Rihanna out and about in New York dressing the ultra-tight pants down. She took a more casual approach than our other two ladies pairing the pants with a graphic tee, black scarf, and beanie topping the look off with flat black knee-high boots.
Next up are two ladies who both attended the BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta this weekend. Actress Lauren London dressed the pants up a bit with a free-flowing black spaghetti strapped top with what looked like very cute shoes with an over-sized bow on top. She went with gold hoop earrings and a gold bangle as her accessories for the night, and I think the simplistic look worked in her favor.
Last but not least is none other than Keyshia Cole. She took the look a total different direction than both Rihanna and London. Personally I'm not really feeling it, it looks like she is going to the club, but hey. Anyway, she has been exercising the layered look latelyand I wish she'd stop. Cole wore what looks like a sheer black zip-up spank (body slimmer) layering it with a silver spaghetti strapped **sequined** top. She always goes over-the-top with the accessories, because as we call all see....she would have been better off going bare as far as accessories are concerned due to the very fancy top. But instead she chose a short necklace, small hoop earrings and a diamond bangle (all silver) along with her silver clutch. And finally, she finishes the outfit off with a pair of black ankle boots that I think come form Louis Vuitton's 2007 Winter collection (but don't quote me on that). It is not as bad as I'm making it seem when you glance at the picture as a whole, but you know me: "Meticulous Mandy". One thing I do know: as long as she keeps pumping out those albums I don't care what she wears! :) xoxo
- I feel a great mascara can open the eye and instantly make you look as though you’ve have a good night’s sleep, even when that is not the case. I use 2-3 coats of Lancome Fatale on the top, bottom, and also on the back of the top lashes.
- Because of my Indian ancestry, I love darkly rimmed eyes – a messy eye adds a sexy yet natural look to a classic outfit. To make the eyes smoky, I use Revlon’s Luxurious Color Kohl eyeliner in Black Truffle on the inside of the lids.
- Bright lipstick is a way to quickly pop an outfit and freshen up a look a la Ava Gardner in “The Barefoot Contessa.” My favorite bright is MAC’s Morange lipstick – it’s a great way to add a twist to a classic look.
- Another way to make your face pop is to fill in the eyebrows. I use Bobbi Brown’s eye shadow in Navajo.
