Summertime Brights: Colorful Dresses!

There is more color hitting the red carpet lately, and it's not coincidence that summer is creeping up on us! I love it and I think it's good to see these beautiful bold colors livening up the carpet. Check out who rocked the bright colors this week:

TAMERA MOWRY wore this beautiful electric blue dress to the American Idol Finale.

CHRISTINA MILIAN in this lime one-shoulder dress, with matching earrings and shoes. I don't know if I'm too crazy about the jewelry, but she looks amazing either way!

AMERIE wore this lemon yellow Herve Leger dress, rocking a new hair style. Can't say if I'm feeling the hair at all, it's a little much for me, but the dress (similar to MILIAN'S in style) is hot!

Model, EVA MARCILLE wore this lime and white dress, which I an on the fence about. The pattern throws me off a bit, but she's so gorgeous she can pull off just about anything in my book.

I'm Done With Undergad!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited! I took the last final of my undergrad college career yesterday!!! Words can't express how happy I am....I don't think it has hit me quite yet...not until I walk across that stage!! But I'm still happy! Now it's time for the real world (at least until I start grad school), but I think I'm ready to give it a go! Yaaaaayy!!!!!

....so I kinda got on B the other day for the choice of ensemble, but she made up for it with this one. She is obviously really digging CHANEL lately and wears it just about every time we see her. I love the CHANEL Jacket and the brooch along with the necklace, she looks very preppy. The oversize pants add that laid back appeal but still allows the outfit to function. And I am loving that hat too!

This dress that CATE wore to the Cannes Film Festival is amazing! I love everything from the color to the fit to the pleating to the strap all the way to her hair. I love it! It's perfect in every way!

It's so rare that we get to see B act like her real self. She's always "presentable" to the public, turning off her accent and being really composed. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's always good to see a different side of her.

The Hotness: Party Dress Picks!

It's about that time....well at least for me it is: PARTY TIME! I have one more final left in my undergrad college career, so if that's not reason to celebrate I don't know what it. I will be going to numerous shin-digs, and not to mention my fav season is approaching: SUMMER! So I will definitely be one that's out and about in these next few months. So this week I spotted a few very cute party dresses and thought I'd post them on here! Check it out!

KELLY ROWLAND wore this Donna Karan origami-pleated dress in a beautiful Cobalt blue to the Sex & the City Movie London premiere.

DANIA RAMIREZ must have been taking style tips from her bestie KELIS. This bright pink strapless dress is very Heatherette, and I love the ruffles under the skirt. Hot look!

Natalie Portman @ the Cannes Film Festival in this purple ruffled number.

Last but not least is JASLENE, winner of America's Next Top Model cycle 8. I am truly in love with this dress! I love the way it is designed around the neck/chest area. The ruffles add so much character and the color (plum) is adorable! My fav of the 4 by far!

I Just Don't Know......

This is a little addition I'm going to make to my blog called obviously "I Just Don't Know." It will feature outfits that I'm just not too sure about. In other words, something is wrong with the look, but I just can't place a definite finger on it. I'll do my best to point it out, but ultimately: I just don't know.

This edition features BEYONCE last night @ the Glow in the Dark concert with her husband (yeah, I said it) JAY-Z. The best part of the outfit is the Louboutin's, but I am just not feeling the rest of it. I don't know why she insists on wearing the performance tights while out and about, especially these gold sparkle ones. The bubble skirt is not flattering, and I'm just not digging it. The blouse is cool and the jacket...maybe. There's just something off here, what do you think it is?

I am probably the biggest fan of R&B that you'll meet, so you can imagine how excited I was to see that they are celebrating "Black Music Month" with these 3 extremely talented women of R&B. I love the vibrant colors of summer they put the ladies in too!

It's Coming.....

.....the ROMPER!!!

I see this coming and being really big this summer. The romper is an article of clothing that not everyone can wear, but those who can can really look cute! It's ideal for a tiny frame (because it looks best belted @ the waist), but please believe even with the thickness that I possess...you will catch me in one this summer, lol. Anyways, they come in various colors, but the most popular ones for the summer I think will be ironically black and navy blue. I love this piece because you can do so much with it. Dress it up with a pair of heels, wedges, or strappy gladiator sandals or down with flip flops. Either way, I love the look!

Some of our fav fashionista's have been spotted in them in the past and I think this summer it will emerge as one of the hottest must have items! Some of my picks for the cutest rompers come form MARY-KATE OLSEN who belted her black satin romper with a hot pink belt to break up the solidarity of the romper. I love the way this comes together and wearing the hair down is an ideal way for this choice of outfit.



Another hot romper was worn by none other than KIM KARDASHIAN. This particular romper is a gray-ish long sleeve number and she wore it with a pair of peep toe heels. I love the dressed up version of the romper!

I'm in Bookworm Mode. It is finals week and I have 4 in total. I have three tomorrow and one on Thursday so I really don't have any time to post in the next few days unless it is something that really catches my eye and I can't resist. MUSIC is LIFE: Slept On - Cherish

I love these girls. I have to admit, I was a bit sketchy when they first came out and I honestly thought a one-hit wonder was not out of the the question with their debut release "Do It To It," but I was wrong. They have such amazing voices (their harmony is on point) and they produce great music. I love listening to their songs; they are catchy which is a plus for me because I love to sing along! My friends and I were on the plane ride back from Vegas with them last year and we totally wanted to tell them what we thought, but we rarely do the whole giddy fan thing [with a few exceptions: Michael & Janet, Kelis, and a few others, lol] so we passed. I'm sure they would have appreciated it though. Anyway, they are completely slept on, not getting the recognition they deserve at all! Their sophomore album appropriately titled, "The Truth" comes out next week on the 13th, so go check it out, I'm sure you won't be disappointed! Some songs I'm already loving: Amnesia (currently playing on this page), Before You Were My Man, and Only One.

Double Takes: Beyonce

This edition of "Double Takes" features the new Mrs. Carter. She has been such a fan of CHANEL and she wears it to plenty of events! Last night she attended an event at her hubby's 40/40 Club in celebration of the "Heart of the City." She wore a very cute black dress with leather gloves and a huge signature CHANEL belt....and last but not least these shoes! The shoes are from CHANEL'S Resort 07-08 collection and are very eye-catching. She was also spotted in them back in February during All-Star weekend in Las Vegas @ the "Two Kings Party" (Jay-Z & Lebron James). Look Of The Week: Zoe Kravitz

This dress is so different and classic. Now I would not typically be so excited about velvet, crushed velvet on top of that, but this is hot! I love the color and the boa strap sets it off. Loving the hair, which something I can't typically say about Miss. KRAVITZ, but it looks amazing here! Hotness indeed!!

Style Showdown: Rihanna vs. Kim Kardashian

These ladies were both spotted rocking the same pair of CHANEL sunglasses in the past couple of weeks. They are absolutely the best style I've seen from CHANEL in a very long time. They always make my favorite shades for the summer, but these take the cake!
Featuring a "mask style frame, adorned with signature CHANEL interlaced leather chain on the front." They retail for about $500.




RIHANNA rocked the shades with a 3/4 sleeve optical dress with a pair of jeweled sandals while KIM threw the shades on with a "Obama is my Homeboy" tee shirt and her fav velour terry Juicy Couture pants. So what do you think? Who won this style showdown?
