So, I've been rocking with MIGUEL since I was a sophomore in college - which is about 4 years now. His song "Sure Thing" won me over immediately and I've been a Miguel fan ever since.

He has become more popular in the past few months with his most recent hit "All I Want is You" which is truly one of my favorite songs right now. I've included the video below for you to check it out - and his Pharrell-esque look isn't to bad either ;)

We already knew she'd be at every worhty show this season but it's still amazing when we see her. She was spotted all over Paris for the shows and looking amazing! From the make-up to the wardrobe down to the hair. I love it. She was also spotted wiht her amazing stylist Mariel Haenn who I interviewed last week!

Black seemed to be her color of choice....I guess that is falling in line with the "all black everything" they were talking about.

We often see the end result of her work….the celeb images splashed across the web, red carpets, television and on stage at sold out shows. Celebrity stylist Mariel Haenn makes her work look easy; styling and creating images for some of the world’s biggest stars including fashion icon and singer Rihanna, sinder Ciara, actors Jada Pinkett-Smith and husband Will Smith, singer Keri Hilson and rapper Jay Z among many others. Haenn has also done a vast amount of editorial work, television commercials and worked with world renowned photographers across the world.

Her style is somewhat a mystery, the super talented stylist is not caught bragging or hitting more red carpets than her clients and it was a task to even find a photo of her on the Internet….but I think that’s why I like her so much. She’s gorgeous and speaking to her for this interview was such a pleasure. Great personality and style is always a perfect combination.

She’s not stopping at styling either; she recently launched the Want It! Collection in collaboration with Saks Fifth Avenue which features cutting-edge looks alongside more accessible versions of the trends that dominated the runway shows. I totally love this idea as I am always trying to get the “look for less.” Mariel also shares her favs from the collection below.

We chatted it up last week and here’s what the mogul in the making had to say about her career, her must have items for Fall, Rihanna, Britney Spears and much more:

What is your must have item for fall?

My must have item; I would say the strong shoulder jacket or blazer. Between that or the Saks Fifth Ave MasterCard. Which is like your little black card like your little black dress in the closet. I would say that’s my favorite accessory of all time just because it’s a card that rewards you for shopping in and out of Saks so you can shop anywhere and get the rewards at Saks and with that reward I would probably get one of the Fall Want It! pieces. It could be anything from the strong shoulder to the rocker boot or v-neck sweater…it’s really hard to pick one.

Do you have a favorite piece or style from the Want It! Collection?

I’m really into the strong shoulder right now. I also think the rocker boot is something everyone should have.

What path did you take to get where you are today? What came before MTV?

Before MTV was the Source Magazine and working as a freelance stylist so I’ve always started in music. I was at Source for a year and a half and from there I went to MTV and then from there went back to freelance.

Do you have any advice for any upcoming stylist and/or designers?

Stick with it. It can get really tough and you know it’s not something that happens overnight, but if you stick to whatever your passion is you know eventually you’ll start to see the rewards.

If you could only wear 3 garments for the rest of you life, what would they be?

*Laughs* I would say some sort of rocker boot, leggings and a strong shoulder blazer. Which is basically what I wear anyway.

How was it working with Rihanna and what was the most surprising thing you learned about her?

It’s extremely exciting working with her! Especially where we’ve gotten her today. I would say something I didn’t know about her, when we first got together, I didn’t know she would take to fashion as much as has now. When we started working together I didn’t know she would turn out to be an icon and you know love fashion as much as she does now, so that was a pleasant surprise.

What is in constant rotation in your iPod right now?

Jay Z’s Blueprint 3.

How was it working with them on the “Run This Town” set?

It was amazing! The set was a lot of fun because it was Kanye, Jay and Ri. But I recently just started working with Jay, which is really amazing, I’ll be working with him on the Empire State video as well.

Can you tell me a little more about the collaboration with Saks Fifth Avenue and what was the inspiration behind it?

Yeah, the inspiration behind the Fall Want It! campaign is basically that you can shop in your closet, pick out your favorite pieces and the program highlights what’s in style for Fall and you know the must haves from the cutting edge looks on the runway as well as accessible versions of the trends. So you know, its versatile and there’s something for everyone and you don’t have to go and re-do your whole closet, which is like the basis of the campaign. So basically highlights what you should be focusing on. Whether it’s the rocker boot the cozy knits, the strong shoulder or the forever bag, you can basically pick out anything from the campaign and make it your own.

Tips for how to dress down but still look good without looking like you’re trying too hard?

You can put on my favorite outfit the leggings, the rocker boot and the strong shoulder blazer, I mean it’s dressed down but once you throw on that blazer it kind of dresses you up and makes it not so casual. It’s still casual and comfortable but it’s not like you’re wearing just a t-shirt and jeans or a t-shirt and leggings. It makes you look a little more dressed up.

Is there anyone you haven’t had the opportunity to work with yet that you’re dying to get your hands on?

That’s so funny, I’ve been asked that question a lot and I’ve been trying to figure out who that person is. I mean I love Scarlett Johansson but I think that she already has amazing style. I think that Britney Spears might be a good challenge for me just because I know she’s about being comfortable but I think she could do a lot more than she does right now.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Do you want to design, is that something you’re looking forward to or is styling your heart?

I love styling, I think that 10 years from now I would want to be a creative consultant for maybe a clothing line or a brand and hopefully have my own high end jewelry line (the fashion maven shares with me that she'd like it to be along the lines of this piece she currently owns).

Fashion Week Part 2

New York Fashion Week is officially over and the fashion greats have moved on to London but I just wanted to share some of the pieces that stood out for me. There are way too many to choose from so here are the few I could select:

Donna Karan - The rouching is to die for and I am loving the mix between workplace appropriate and sexy in this piece. I want it for my closet!

Halston - I mean, it's very hard to go wrong with Halston. The flowy pieces are so angelic to me and I am loving the colors for Spring. This piece in particular is one I am gunning for for my birthday. *fingers crossed*

Badgley Mischka - I am always down for a laid-back look and this is IT! I love the loose fitting pants and the white blouse is perfect! Her swag also adds a lot to the look but I think this is one I may try with my harem pants and a nice white top.

Top 3 Fashion Week

Here are some of my favorites looks from some of the shows this week. Of course there are more to come but I weanted to get these up asap.

L.A.M.B. has a collection that is to die for. It was so hard for me to choose only three, the pieces are so well done and I am all about the details. I love it!

Rachel Roy is an absolute favorite of mine and I love her whole style. I used to not like it so much but I think that as I've gotten older and a little more matue, so has my taste. This is definitely for the woman who enjoys classic, timeless styles.

VMA Picks

So there were some amazing VMA fashions and I am loving that everyone seems to be taking more chances when it comes to their outfits. Kudos to all the stylists for pushing their clients not to play it too safe! Some of my favorites were:

KATY PERRY killed it in this very glam-rock look I love the whole thing and to throw some edge on it there are spikes coming from her sides! Amazing. Her body is out of this world.

I have been loving AMERIE'S style lately and last night was no different. This color is perfect on her skin and if you know m you know I'm a fan of the batwing sleeve on anyone. Well done!

Another stand-out look came from BEYONCE. I love that she has been going shorter and shorter lately....and really showing off those tones and near-perfect gams. And who can go wrong with a little red dress?

Little sis SOLANGE also looked stunning in this gorgeous mini. I am in love with her style and I think her ensemble looks fab here! The short hair absolutely works for her and goes great with this outfit. I love the strong shoulder on this dress!

Last bu not least is the gorgeous KERI HILSON. I love the plunging neckline and Keri is very tall so this works very well. The pantsuit it definitely going to be seen on the red carper this season and I love this take on it...super sexy with a bit of masculinity thrown in there.

I know it's a little late (2 days to be exact) but I wanted to make sure I wished one of the most talented, fashionable divas in the industry a very happy birthday! BEYONCE is one of my favs and when you're dealing with such a high caliber of woman, one may ask "What do you get her?" So I thought it appropriate to feature some of B's favorite things.

B loves her Chanel and there are a few key vintage pieces she can't live without:

This jacket that clearly House of Dereon draws inspiration from is amazing and you can see the workmanship with just one glance.

Her vintage Chanel jewelry that she shops various stores for is another obsession for the birthday girl. This cuff is just one of the many pieces of her collection but it's definitely one I'd want in my own!

Of course, one of her favorite things is the $42,000 Louis Vuitton Tribute Patchwork bag. Mrs. Carter owns one of the 24 made in the entire world. Must be nice....

And last but not least, her gorgeous statement piece by Lorraine Schwartz is amongst her list of fashion favorites. The bracelet that connects to a ring with the infamous "B" is one of the many pieces she owns from her fav jeweler. Her wedding ring is rumored to also be made by Schwartz, and is estimated at approximately $5 million.

The vest is a part of the fall '09 accessories collection and it's something I think is a great addition to any wardrobe. Amber rocks it with her famous tights, old school Reebok's and a pink tank. Rihanna was spotted rocking the Brenda Zip Bag from the same collection a few weeks back (below).

The two ladies were both out and about yesterday. CIARA was doing some charity work while RIHANNA was doing her own form of giving back, by spending lots of money in a boutique.

The shooties (a word I stole from Rachel Zoe) are very cute and I love that they lace up so high. They can be dressed up or down. Cici went for jeans and Riri went for a dress. I love the floral dress she's rocking, but when don't I love what she has on? Ciara too a more rocker approach and while I love them both, I'm going to have to go with Rihanna.

Hitting the beach this summer? I've told you how to hook those toes up, get your skin glistening and now I'm going to give you some suggestions on what to wear when you're lounging by the pool or laid out on the beach. Since we're about half-way through summer, things have been cooling off, at least here in LA. So if you don't necessarily want to get in the water, you can still look fierce! ;)

If you want to do all black, this is my suggestion. I love the one pieces that have been coming out lately, and I always love a big beach hat. Though it's not a beach bag, this Gucci arm candy is just as good!

Style Spotlight: Rachel Roy

This is a very beautiful woman who I feel has not had her time to shine. The pieces from her line are amazing, but I don't feel like she embraces the woman she is all the way. I am loving the color I have been seeing from her lately and I love that we can actually see her shape! Granted I love the trench coat as a dress she's known for, but variety us really what I live for!

I am loving this jacket which is or either looks Chanel inspired, the torn jean is right up my alley lately and the clutch is killing! I could have gone for a more bold shoe, but it doesn't hurt the look.

I am also loving her in the harem pant, it's really very nice on her, as we all know it can be truly unflattering! I love the shoe (I want to say they're YSL), and the leather jacket is hot with it. I also love how she threw in the camel colored clutch to pick up on the shoe. Very hot!

I can't wait to see what else she'll be giving us in the coming months!

CiCi has been all over lately rocking her new haircut and new found fashion edge. Ciara has never been one that I focused on for fashion reasons much but lately she has caught my eye. I'm a big fan of this type of look, even though I've clearly seen it before on RiRi, it's still hot. One of my lovely readers wants to get this look and I'm always happy to help!

A very cute batwing sleeve blouse from Elizabeth & James will really help you get the same look as Ciara. The James Balloon Shirt is roomy, cotton (perfect for summer), and very stylish. It can be worn multiple ways too! It retails for $225.00.

Pair that with Charley 5.0 tie dye denim jeans and the Alexander McQueen Zip Front Shoe Boots and we have a winner! The look is very versatile, as you can change up the jeans for a pair of leggings, a skirt or shorts for a very summery feel. I think a white blouse and denim is timeless!

Italian Vogue Does a Black Barbie Issue

Take a look at the special Summer issue of Italian VOGUE featuring black Barbie's. I think this is a very cute spin on things, as it is still highlighting the contribution of African Americans to the fashion world, even from Barbie's.

Editor in Chief Franca Sozzani had this to day about the issue:

“Barbie has been an icon for whole generations which is why I really wanted to give a strong sign in step with the times, and dedicate [this] issue to Black Barbie."

In other Barbie news, in celebration of Rocawear's 10th Anniversary, Mattel will release a Rocawear Barbie collection featuring four females and one male. All will be dipped in RW thereads from head to toe. This should be interesting.

Remember Kimora's Barbie? I loved it! So I want to see what these will look like....

Who Wore What: Weekend Fab

Over the weekend there was nothing absolutely spectacular, but there were a few things that I think were cute and did not mind seeing.

ADRIENNE BAILON, who I had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing a few weeks back for Rap-Up.com looked very cute in this black and white short number she wore to the 10th Annual Art for Life Event. I love the embellishments on he neckline. Very haute!

UK singer ALEXANDRA BURKE was out and about grabbing some dinner in a very cute laid back but still fab ensemble. I love her blazer! *is that you in the background TyTy?*

And CHRISTINA MILIAN dazzled in this short sleeve orange dress. I love the bright color along with her silver pump. Not to mention she looks gorgeous here, hair, make-up, the whole package. And congrats to the newly engaged lady also!

Last but definitely not least is none other than Miss BEYONCE. I love this khaki green color and leave it up to B to throw on a bedazzled belt to spice it up. Even though it's two pieces, she makes it look like one and I'm definitely buying it. She looks great!

Stop the Press: RiRi's got a brand new Do!

Though I'm not the least bit surprised, this is obviously the new thing to do....shave some of your hair off in some capacity. I feel like her hair was pretty much getting shorter and shorter anyway and when I read an interview that said she wanted to go "boy short," I knew this was coming. Although I was thinking she'd pull an Amber Rose (and she still just might), it's still hot.

I'm convinced this chick can pull just about anything off. Work it out then RiRi!

My Fav New Body Scrub!

So if you know me or read my blog, you know I love to try new products and I am especially into body scrubs and bath products. Well I found a new scrub that rivals my fav from Bath & Body Works and I'm almost willing to say it wins....no actually it does!

Soft & Beautiful SKIN Moisture Soft Exfoliating Body Polish is my new favorite scrub! Not only does it smell amazing, it leaves skin feeling baby smooth without all of the oily residue. Many of the scrubs I try have oils in them and while that moisturized feeling is nice, I do not always want to slip when trying to get out of the tub or have an extremely heavy oil residue left on my skin. If however you do want a little oil, there is a Body Oil Gel from the same collection that allows you to control the amount of oil on your skin.

Sugar crystals and sunflower oil are just some of the wonderful ingrdients in the scrub and believe me you will not be disappointed. I use it every other day and I have notcied a big difference on in my skin.

Out & About: Fab looks for the summer!

These colors caught my eye, as I love pastels, florescent and bright fun colors overall during the summer. I mean it's so reflective of the weather and summer in general! I love it!

ASHANTI looked especially cute in her light blue Herve skirt and I always love loose fitting tanks with this kind of skirt....it's a great combination of both style and color. The yellow is just right and typically I may not have liked this shoe but the peep toe ankle boot works here!

The dress Matthew Williamson that THANDIE NEWTON recently wore was so summery and sweet. I loved the mix of colors and the pleating along the neckline. She hardly ever does wrong, and she's obviously a big MW fan as I frequently see her in his latest pieces. I also love that she paired it with a nude shoe. Very nice combo!

NICK CANNON also decided to rock the warm colors of summer in a lavender shirt and tie along with a tan vest to a Swatch event in New York. He looks very clean and I am loving his "always suited & booted" image he's been giving. I don't like the suits when he looks like MC's bodyguard, but I do like this change in color!

So the fabulous ESPY awards were last night, where the hottest sports stars gather to be honored, awarded and celebrated for their outstanding performances through the year. Needless to say everyone was stepping on to the red carpet in the best of the best....or were they?

I thought my girl SERENA WILLIAMS looked amazing and I loved this color on her. I love the soft and hard combination her, as it flowy but still structured in the torso area. Nice!

I was a bit confused by RASHIDA JONES' look, as I'm not a huge fan of short white dresses all the time. It has to be something really speacil for me not to scrutinize. But I was disappointed at both dress and shoe selection. Some of these startlets think that you can throw a Louboutin on with anything, and that's just not the case!

Not short and black is another story....it's almost always a success1 JAMIE PRESELY killed it in this long sleeve, short black number. I'm almost sure the back is out, though I haven't seen it. But even if it's not, this is still a very hot look.

Last but not least....well maybe in this situation, are KOBE & VANESSA BRYANT. He looks nice, but he obviously thought this 2001 Prom dress with cut-outs was okay for his wifey, and so did she. It's definitely not cute and I can't imagine why she would think it was. The cut is all wrong, the hem is weird and her breasts are extremely too huge for this. They look like they hurt....and once again those Louboutin's are not for this look. Try again Mrs. Bryant! But I still love you though....lol.

So since the passing of the great Micheal Jackson, things have just been different. It affected me so deeply, I had no clue it would feel this way. That how powerful MJ is, it felt as if I'd lost a family member; a sentiment I've heard so many others share.

I've always been an MJ lover since I can remember, there will never be another MJ and I believe his legacy will live on forever....

No other artist can accomplish what he has and I think the biggest difference between a lot of other artists and Michael is that they are doing it for different reasons. Micheal truly has a mission: to heal the world and make it a better place. The fact that the world is so cold and distant literally brought this man to tears...literally.

I will forever miss MJ and I will do my best to pass his important, impact and legacy on to the little ones so they may continue to do the same!

In the Winter many of us neglect our feet, not getting pedicures as often and sometimes not even throwing any polish on them due to that fact that they're covered up the majority of the time. And men: even you should be caring for those feet! Pedicures are your friend!

I know that the recession has taken a toll on many of the luxuries some of us were used to but I bet you can do an at home pedicure better than your local nail shop. Besides YOU know what YOU like best, right?

Sally Hansen has some amazing, bright, eye-catching colors for summer and best of all, they are a part of the Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color. This means you'll only have to apply one coat! When I first opened the bottle, I was shocked at the shape of the brush and it took some getting used to but by the time I was on the third toe, I mastered it. The color spreads on thick, so you dont have to continue applying and it's just a s bright as 2 or 3 coats! And even better it dries in 60 seconds! It's available in 24 shades and my fave are Blue Streak, Sonic Bloom and Lightening Creme.

A tip when using these bold colors: USE A BASE COAT....otherwise your nails may get stained, and who wants that?

While these colors are great, they won't look their best if you don't apply them to well manicured, moisturized feet. The scrubs, in any flavor from Bath & Body Works, Carol's Daughter and Sally Hansen work wonders for removing dead skin! I don't know about you but I love when my feet are soft and this is the best method to get them that way. The pumice stones scratch feet and damage skin, so a new thicker callous comes back to protect the feet. The scrubs are more gentle and aren't so harsh on them.

Carol's Daughter Lemon Ginger Mint Manicure in a Jar smells great and moisturizes like no other! Highly recommended!

The Footloose & Fancy Fizz Bubbly Foot Bath is amazing, as it soothes your tired feet and smells amazing!

And one of my favorite sets is the Salon Pedicure collection from Sally Hansen. Like I said, we probably all can't afford to go to the nail shop or the spa every week, so this will work wonders for your feet during those "in-between times."

The Mineral Foot Soak gets your feet ready for the Ultra Smoothing Foot Scrub which both moisturizes and removes dead skin leaving feet extremely soft. Finish it off with the hydrating Foot Creme, not too thick but enough to moisturize and leave feet felling baby smooth!

I have been on the hunt for the perfect blazer for a while now and I have not had any luck. I think I'm going to end up just having to get one and have it tailored. I want it fitted and I want the sleeves to be a little too short...but in a cute way, lol. Here are some of the most recent blazers I've seen and I'm loving, I like HALLE'S the best. Her leather pants are to die for and I need those pumps in my life!

RIHANNA wore a white blazer which I thought was pretty hot, dressed down with the heather gray shirt and JBrand tie dye jeans (are these making a comeback?).

She also rocked a very cute black one over her dress during a recent visit to Carol's Daughter Foot Spa.

I'm really digging this blazer from Preen Hawk wool blazer but I'm not shelling out close to one thousand dollars for it....instead I think I'll hit up some of the local flea markets, vintage shops and discount stores, then head over to get it tailored.

I think this is a key piece in any woman's wardrobe as it is truly versatile and can be worn a myriad of ways. Pair it with jeans and heels and you're still fabulously stylish, even a denim skit will make the look work. Wear it to work with slacks or a pencil skirt; wear it on top of a bright dress for a night out on the town....there are so many looks you can accomplish with this one piece.

I don't care how good your make-up is or how well you apply it, if you are not starting out with a good palate, you can forget it. It is extremely to take good care of your skin while you're young, that way you age gracefully. I often hear people say "black don't crack," and while this may be visibly true, the sun rays will still destroy you skin and can possibly cause cancer. UV rays do not discriminate!

I posted my skin care regimen a while back and it included products like Oil of Olay Daily Facials and Ponds Dry Skin cream. I was one of those people that said "If it's not broken, why fix it?" But I have recently begun to try things that will enhance my skin and take better care of it as opposed to just maintaining. Some of the products I am really loving right now include:

Carol's Daughter "Wash Away the Oil" Skin Care collection

This collection is a favorite of mine because it is extremely gentle on your skin and if you have sensitive skin like me you know how important that is. I often try to avoid extremely oily products as my skin produces enough of its own, so this is ideal. And though you're washing away the oil, you skin is not going to get dried out. The face wash balances the skin's oil production so you're not shiny all day. The set includes the face wash, the toner and the essential serum and retails for $50.50. The recipe for application is as follows:

STEP 1) Gently cleanse your skin with Wash Away the Oil Face Wash
STEP 2) Tone and refresh your skin using Wash Away the Oil Face Toner
STEP 3) Treat your skin to the moisture replenishing oils of the Essential Serum

Another favorite of mine right now is Ambi. The line specializes in "providing women of African, Latin and South Asian heritage scientifically proven solutions to meet their unique skincare needs." So that's something great to look for when you're searching for a product. You don't want to use a product that doe snot take into consideration the type of skin your have. And yes it's true, different nationalities require different types of care and product. A big reason both Carol's Daughter and Ambi have made their way into my regimen.

I currently use the Even & Clear Daily Daily Moisturizer and the best part about this is it includes SPF 30! So you're not only moisturized but you're protected from UVA and UVB rays. It is recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation and that gets major points from me. I apply the moisturizer daily after I wash my face and it gives me an instant glow! During the week when I'm in a rush, I walk right out...no make-up no nothing. Just 4 pumps of this miracle moisturizer. Even though I only use the moisturizer, there is a whole line of Even & Clear products including Exfoliating Cream, Acne Clearing Treatment and Fade Cream.

LALA was rocking her Monogram Vernis Pink Alma Louis Vuitton bag while out and about in LA with CIARA and KIM KARDASHIAN rocking her YSL Cage Booties.

I found out which shoes BEYONCE was recently seen rocking and I'm absolutely in love! The Gucci "Lucy" high heel strap platform pumps are def one of my fav from the line this season! They also come in black, gold and silver which I'm loving just as much, if not more.

Last but not least, on the set of Fabolous' new video and he had CLAUDIA JORDAN as his eye candy of the day. She was clad in Gucci from head to toe, but of course the shoes are what caught my eye mostly. The Iman high heel ankle strap platform is definitely a shoe I am considering saving my pennies for! She is also rocking a Hysteria bag, but it's not as eye cathing as the shoes :).

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE had one the most beautiful women on his arm last night: JESSICA BIEL, and her dress was gorgeous! I'm not usually a fan of red dresses, but she and AMBER ROSE changed my mind!

IMAN was stunning in this strapless champagne floor length gown. Her skin looks amazing with this color, as does ALEK WEK'S!
This may just be my favorite look of the night, particularly because of the way this color contrasts with her skin. It so beautiful, as is she.

So people have really been out and about and the R&B chicks are really dressing to impress! I am loving so much of what I see! Here are a few of the ensembles that I thought stood out!

Of course, BEYONCE turned it up with her Balmain dress at her Obsessed movie premiere last night. Loving the train and the Louboutins!

MONICA is usually dress so cute, but i really liked this studded vest/jacket she wore to a BET event last night! It goes so cute with the jeans and the shoes. The boots are done! Love it.

CIARA changed her hair up a bit, but followed suit when it came to the Louis Vuitton spicy Sandals. Even though I think these shoes will soon be worn out, as every celeb is rocking them lately, she still looks great! I love the jacket and glasses!

While overseas promoting her new project, KERI HILSON also looked rocker chic in this skin tight ensemble topped off by a stone washed denim cropped vest. She loves her peep toe booties!

Making the list again, BEYONCE really made me want this ruffled trench! Her Ruthie Davis platforms were also amazing!

Las but not least, KIM KARDASHIAN put together some very key pieces to make one great look! I love the color of the skirt, and the leather jacket and belt set it off, I would so wear this, head to toe!

Straight out of Chi Town and fresh out of the Bad Girls Club, TIFFANY is definitely a name to remember. By far my favorite personality of the season, Tiff’s MO of keeping it real was definitely in effect when I met her this weekend. Laid out by the pool on one of LA’s hottest days of the month, she was so warm and friendly upon our greeting one another. We retreated from the heat into an air-conditioned space (thank God!) and the questions began…

Tiffany who is probably portrayed as one of the wildest ones of the bunch seems like the total opposite in our interview. I take that back, Kayla was probably the wildest, who is also in LA is texting Tiffany as we speak, “I still talk to Kayla, I talk to everyone with the exception of 'The Amber’s.' ” If you watched the show you know why….

The season was very entertaining, but I wanted this piece to be about the person, and not the personality. Tiffany is much more than we got to see in the show, which wrapped last October. She is in town for a video shoot with pop artist, Janeen Simone. The single is appropriately titled "Bad Girl," was featured on the show, but Tiffany's not featured on the track “I cannot sing…I think most people think because I my voice I can sing, but no!” Believe it or not, Tiffany’s heart is in acting. She participated in school plays throughout grade school and college and is now taking the stage as the lead in her hometown of Chicago in the play “The Mr. and the Mrs,” which will begin production in June.

On the fashion/style tip, Tiffany’s two piece bikini with weaved ribbon accent is cute, but on this hot day it’s the only thing I get to see her in. However, when asked about her everyday style, the self proclaimed girly girl expresses, “It’s all about the shoes, the handbag, and jewelry.” My sentiments exactly! “What’s in between can be whatever, I'm not into brands," explains the boutique shopper. “I like one of a kind pieces that not everyone will have, or they may have made just 5 of them.” Her favorite bag right now? “My big pink Coach bag I got for my birthday, my favorite color is pink,” the Aries expresses. We both busted out in laughter when she shares “I don’t do gym shoes, mmm mmm, no!” While she wasn't specific as to which bag she was talking about I'm thinking it's this one:

Loving MRS. CARTER'S whole look here, but the LV "Spicy Sandals" set the whole look off. I am reeeally digging the designs from this particular collection. These shoes will probably be everywhere as knockoffs: Bakers, Downtown, Steve Madden, etc. But I'm going to say please don;t get them, I know that they won't look as good, this is just too crafty of a shoe to be redone w/cheap materials and actually look like a fake.

My other exciting sighting for one of my fav shoes right now is CIARA in the Christian Louboutin Dillian style in pink. I am just in love with the style and the whole shoe! Sooo amazing! I did a post on them a few weeks back and I knew I'd start seeing them on our fav celebs soon! Her bag isn't bad either!

But JUNE AMBROSE and CHRISETTE MICHELE both proved to me that they look just as hot on as they do in the photo!

June posted herself wearing the shoes in her TwitPic Dairy, which I love and you'll be seeing a post on soon...and Chrisette wore them during a performance, both times very cute! June is styling for Chrisette right now too, I wonder if she took them off her fee to complete the look! I love when stylists remove items from themselves to complete a look!

Found: Beyonce's Grey Ant Sunglasses

With the help of Concreteloop.com, I now know what type of sunglasses B was rocking last week. The oversized Wayfarers are by Grey Ant and retail fro $230. Something within reason luckily! I think if they don't sell out in a day, I'll have to try to get some.

I love the thick frame, they are so something I'd wear! The shades also come in red and clear, but I'm going to stick with black on this one.

Bag Lady: Are we feeling Melissa's sheer Fendi?

I thought my mind was playing tricks on me at first, but I soon realized that the Fendi bag Rihanna's BFF and assistant Melissa was carrying was transparent. It is really cute, but I don't know if I'm trilled with the idea of everyone being able to see what I'm carrying around, especially for those of us who tend to carry any and everything!

I just wanted to touch on the hair genius Dickey! I was doing some browsing over at Essence.com and they did a special on Kelis' Hair Evolution and her main stylist, Dickey gives his input on each of her drastic styles that he's helped make famous.

He has also worked on the tresses on first lady Michelle Obama and we know her hair is always fabulous! Dickey also has a line of hair products called Hair Rules for kinky, wavy and curly hair, which I'm definitely going to try!

I am a huge love of statement pieces! Whether it be a piece of jewelry, a shoe or a timeless article of clothing.. Right now I cannot get enough of the Dillian shoe from Chrisitan Louboutin! I am sooo infatuated with this shoe! It's so over the top but still stylish! The ruffle detailfgives it just that over-the-top finish and for a real statement piece, over-the-top is not enough! So why not add a little snakeskin on top of it all?! Yes!!! The shoes come in various colors, but my fav are the Roccia Python. All of them have 12 cm heels and I am in love with them! RIHANNA has not let the drama as of late throw any kinks in her fashion program. She is definitely stepping out and in some of the flyyest pieces I've seen in a minute! Just to name a few....

....I'd like to zoom in on this sweater she has on here! No clue who it's by or where you can find it but I DO know it's hot! Love love love the gray and fur mix, and it's so over the top a jeans and t-shirt work perfectly with it! The gloves set it off!

And I am loving the detail of the jeans!!!

This very cute little Miami style silk number was perfect for going to the club and I would not typically think it is very hot but she pulls it off. Very cute...loving the shorts!

Lastly, she is house hunting in LALA Land and think chick is basically letting everyone know there ain't a damn thing wrong with her fashion sense! I am over here drooling off of her silver sling back Loubotins! I want htem NOW!

So this weekend I ended up at The Make Up Show, the annual trade show for the best of the best in makeup. I was in LaLa land needless to say! I got some amazing deals on brushes, met tons of people and got to work with celebrity make-up artist A.J. CRIMSON (his clients include Estelle, Fergie, Keyshia Cole, Letoya Luckett to name a few) at his Kissable Couture booth! If you haven't heard of the line, you're truly missing out! A.J. is partnered with KEISHA WHITAKER, wife of Oscar award winning actor Forest Whitaker, and the two came together about a year and a half ago to bring you the ultimate luxury lip gloss!

After working with him yesterday, I practically know the line inside and out and I've already picked some of my favorite shades! I am a BIG fan of Honesty, a caramel-ish color that had just enough sparkle, and my other favorite is First Lady. The first shoe showdown is between SOLANGE, KEYSHIA COLE & MEAGAN GOOD. They all rocked these Pierre Hardy Plastic Strap Sandals. Meagan was the last person to wear them at the recent taping if Snoop's show Dogg After Dark, which I went to the taping of a few weeks and...and I have no comment, lol.Who is rocking the shoes best?

There's also the Louis Vuitton shoes that AMBER ROSE, Kanye's new arm candy was rocking and then I spotted CHRISTINA MILIAN rocking the same shoes just the other day at The Dreams album release party. Two very different looks for one very cute shoe. I didnt even this these were that hot when I saw Madonna in them in the new ad, but these girls make me reconsider! What do you think?

I cannot even begin to tell you how in awe I am at Kanye an his new little piece of arm candy Amber Rose. They are so fresh! I mean really....she wears some of the most revealing, outrageous things but she puts her own funky twist on it and it looks good. I know many of you will disagree but anyone on Kanye's arm has got to be rocking the flyyesst ish. Since I've been watching the couple, it's nothing but high-end designers and funky tights to show off that crazy shape she has! She's different and I like that....not your typical fashionista. I can't wait to see what these two will pop up in next....they are killing fashion week so far!

What's on the Tube: Harlem Heights

Well it's obvious I got my fair share of BET last night! Right after Rip the Runway was the premiere of Harlem Heights a new reality series about a group of twenty-something socialite friends trying to make it big and lay their own paths in their respective industries. They reside in Harlem, and they are very proud of it! I have only been able to visit Harlem once but when I went I love it! I only wish I could have stayed longer!

Anyways, I'm excited to finally see a reality show on BET that is not a joke or embarrasing...."not all black people live in the ghetto" (Baldwin Hills anyone?) Of course, the drama is there because what's good TV w/o drama, right? But I like it so far. It's socially conscious ad I love that all of these people are doing great things. Law school, designers for Victoria's Secret, Nonprofit execs...it's all so inspiring! I love it....hopefully they don't make me regret it! lol

And to bring it back to fashion....what is Brooke wearing at the premiere party? *smh* Kanye's ex is trying to be a little too different here for me. It is dancing on the line between high-fashion and skanky. Hmmmm Brooke, I don't know about this one, but the rest of the girls looked fabulous!

I love watching just to see what the girls pop up in next, especially Brianna!

The Hotness: Rip The Runway 2009

So BET aired their annual fashion show concert last night and a part of me was impressed while the other part was left wanting more....

JOY BRYANT and DEREK LUKE had a mini Antwone Fisher reunion as the shows hosts and I was a little bored with them. I liked Lauren London and Nelly last year better.

TOCARRA blessed the stage along with every other past ANTM contestant! I mean I saw girls from like 4 seasons ago! At least they're getting some work...I'm not mad at them! She is pictured with The Dream Rockin That Thing.

The big girls stepped out and represented well. I know this show usually includes them, but this year they rocked swimsuits! And they had the most attitude and uumph on the catwalk! I loved it!

SARAH JESSICA PARKER in this gorgeous dress! I think it could be the perfect wedding dress, and I loved it the most out of all the dresses that night!

I loved HALLE and BEYONCE'S dresses. They were pretty similar but they were both stunning!

My other favs were TARAJI and QUEEN LATIFAH. I loved the color that the Queen chose and Taraji just looked stunning...hair, make up, the works! And I really think Queen Latifah always hits it right on the head! She is so beautiful and you're never left saying "That dress doesn't flatter her." She knows how to pick dresses that fit perfectly and are very fashionable!

I cannot even begin to tell you how busy I've been and how sad I am that I haven't been able to post as much! I love my blog and I feel like I'm having withdrawls! lol

So obviously I picked the busiest time in fashion/award shows to get a f/t job! And I want to post eveeeerything I see! So here's a little bit of what I've been feeling:

SOLANGE and the houndstooth combo. Now normally, I would have been a little resistant to the idea of someone combining yellow houndstooth and white and black but it works here! I dig this girls style and pretty much her ability to take a chance with fashion!

KEYSHIA COLE wore this amazing number during Grammy madness in LA and I am in love with the whole look. The colors are amazing, the jewelry is hot and the hair is done! This is my perfect Keyshia look, she definitely was right on point with this one!

ZOE KRAVITZ had a very cute boho-chic look going on here. Just when I thought I was over the indie inspired headbands, she makes me like like it again...

KANYE WEST hit up just about every show during fashion week, and remained amazingly original. I think I liked all of the looks I saw and I was particularly impressed by his choice of manbags....Goyard, Louis, Hermes, just to name a few. Here looks super fresh with the buttoned up jean jacket and his LV Monogram Carryall. I love it! Only Kanye...and maybe Pharrell, lol.

Well it's finally heeeere!!! I started off my official birthday weekend last night with a fun game of bowling with my closest friends! Tonight and every other night of the weekend will be an extravaganza!!! :) I have the perfect bday dress for tonight, but I'm disappointed I don't have the Louboutin's I wanted to go with it! Oh well...maybe next time! I'm so grateful to be able to celebrate another year in this wonderful world! And I look forward to many, many more...God willing! Rachel Zoe would start embracing her body! She'd wear clothes that are actually flattering! I love her so much and her clothes are so amazing, it's a mystery to me why she dresses this way.

Pepa would definitely get a clue and hire a stylist. I love her and her personality, but this woman kills me when she steps out! The satin suit, and boots are a no-no. If I had my way, she'd get into cute short dresses, she has amazing legs and should flaunt em! She would also get a new wig lady...this one is not doing her any justice.

I am loving these shoes, he definitely knocked it out of the park with his partnership with MJ and LV. The shoes are so versatile, I can see them being worn so many ways.

West hit up just about every show at Paris fashion week, sans Alexis this year...but believe he found another form of arm candy....the camouflage Louis (how you want it the tux or the tule? lol).

I have definitely been MIA! I just started working at a PR firm where alllll I do is stay on the computer from 9-5, so needless to say that when I get home, hopping on the computer is the LAST thing I want to do!

But oh how I've missed you so! I told myself that I would get to this by the end of the week, and here I am....sitting at the keyboard! Enough about that, let's recap whats been going on since I've been gone!

OBAMA IS THE PRESIDENT!

I feel horrible about now documenting this on my blog but I was so caught up in the moment, I couldn't tear myself away when it was all going down! Let's talk about MICHELLE OBAMA and her selections for the big day. I know you've all been through this already, but I just have to!

The first look of the day came from ISABEL TOLEDO with a lemongrass colored number. I did not love it, but I did not hate it. I totally understand what Michelle was trying to convey with the look. I really loved the J. Crew gloves! She couldn't be too fierce and intimidate the world with her fashion game....but not to worry

She stepped out in JASON WU later that night at the Inaugural Ball. This was my fav! I loved the detail and the one strap! Sooo gorgeous! And this has to be amazing for both designers! People are probably knocking down their doors as we speak! I cannot wait to see her clothes in the upcoming years!

KIMORA IS PREGGERS!!!!

So rumors have been swirling that KiKi was with child, and it's recently been confirmed with her recent appearances!! I love her so much, and she's def fabulous!

Leave it to her to make an appearance with a leopard shirt. Loves it!

Okay...back to business as usual! Those are just a couple of things that rocked my world in recent weeks!

Golden Globes: My Picks

Everyone stepped out in their best last night as they graced the red carpet of the Golden Globe awards. So many people did features on it, I don;t want to go into too much detail about who wore what so I'll just give you my favs. I also love long and flowy soo, that'll explain my choices.

BEYONCE wore Elie Saab and looked gorgeous. Thought it was a bit predictable, I still loved it.

SELMA HAYEK was busting out in a Bottega Veneta, but rightfully so. She looks amazing and I love the fit!

KATE BECKINSALE left me in awe when she wore this gorgeous J. Mendel gown. I love the detail on the neckline, very soft and whispy!

JENNIFER LOPEZ was a blast from the past when she wore another plunging neckline, but cliche or not, I love it! It's sexy and fun!

My winner for the night, overall was KATE WINSLET in this Yves Saint Laurent dress. Fabulously chic and classy!

Foot Fetiish: Keyshia's Louis Vuitton Platform Wedges

I have been looking for a really cute platform wedge and I really like the Louis Vuitton Platform wedges. I was not a fan at first due to the two toned versions I saw at first; but when I opened the jacket of KEYSHIA COLE'S new album, I saw the all black pair, which I instantly got excited about!

I love the entire outfit, and the whole pin-up girl vibe, not to mention the album has been my vocal practice for about....a month now! :)

ANGELA SIMMONS was also spotted in these very different but stylish shoes during LA Fashion week. I like both of the looks but I'm digging Keyshia's a little more. What do you think? Ladies, is this a wedge you'd wear?

Stephen Sprouse for Louis Vuitton

I'm excited for the return of Stephen Sprouse to Louis Vuitton. We all know his work from the original graffiti collection released nine years ago.

The glow in the dark 80's punk inspired line will surely be a hit and I want to at least get my hands on one piece! I may just get bold and rock the leggings, lol. Celebs came out to the event celebrating Sprouse and the collection in New York.

The Soho store has been wrapped in graffiti to promote the collection which I think is so creative and NY!

Sprouse first collaborated with Louis Vuitton in 2000 at the invitation of Jacobs, who got the idea when he saw a monogrammed trunk coated with a layer of black paint at actress-singer Charlotte Gainsbourg's Paris apartment. The collection marked the beginning of a series of Vuitton designs featuring the work of such artists as Takashi Murakami and Richard Prince.

And judging by the success of those limited edition collections, you won't want to let the graffiti dry on this one. Source

I thought Chanel Iman looked very cute and if I was a stick figure, this would definitely be my look. I love mixing hard (leather jacket) and soft (the light pink Louis Vuitton dress). Love it!

Sneak Peek: Kanye's Louis Vuitton Shoe

Mr. West, the fashionisto himself has been in the lab (not the studio) concocting some works of art for Louis Vuitton. He is designing 6 pairs of shoes for the line, and I for one am very excited to see what he comes up with. He gave us a sneak peek via his blog at a white loaferish pair.

He was also spotted in them while out and about swiping his black card (that's fashion for shopping, lol). I like these a lot, and they definitely heighten the anticipation level I have to see the rest.

Dress for Less: The Bakers Way!

So if you know me, you know that I am a huge fan of bags and shoes. If nothing else, this is what I will spend a pretty penny on. I will definitely grab a pair of jeans and a shirt out of Forever so I can have my huge Givenchy Nightingale weighing my arm down (true story)! But really though, times are a little bit harder than they were in the past and pinching pennies is something I think everyone should do. Keeping up with the latest fashions does not mean you have to be flat broke! There are ways around the hefty price tags without sacrificing "the look."

I was in the mall and I was passing Bakers and I had to stop and go in. I was amazed at how many of the designer copies they had on the shelves! I mean, I always knew they did this, just as Steve Madden does, but some of the shoes are nearly indistinguishable!

If you are on a budget (which you should be, no matter how much money you have), try heading to your friendly Bakers location and check out some of the following:

One of my favorite collections from Gucci thus far, the Babouska collection is featured amongst Bakers' shoes. Look at that price difference! The Danaka is definitely more like it!

A shoe that has been very popular amongst Hollywood's hottest is the YSL T-Strap Sandal. I think the Aileen looks most like the original. The shoe has recently been spotted on the girlfriend of Chris Paul and BEYONCE KNOWLES.

A shoe that our good friend and MEAGAN GOOD couldn't get enough of this Fall is next on the list. The Jimmy Choo Glenys Elaphe Snakeskin sandals have, well...not exactly a twin, let's say a distant cousin, on the shelves at Bakers. I'm not a fan of this one, but it's obvious where the inspiration is drawn from. I'm going to have to go with Jimmy on this one, or I won't go at all. The Caylee just doesn't cut it this time.

Lastly is a shoe that I'm totally over but nevertheless, Bakers still provides them and I was a big fan of them at one point. Yes, I have a pair (black) in my possession! But needless to say, with the mass production everywhere (I'm talking neighborhood swap-meet/discount mart), they are doing nothing but gathering dust in my closet.

Popularized by SJP in Sex and the City, the Dior Gladiator Sandal has a fraternal twin at Bakers, Candice. The shoe has also been worn by NICOLE RICHIE and BEYONCE.

Bakers is defintely one of the many places you can shop to avoid being fabulously broke! Since I'm well aware of how bad things in the economy are, I will be doing these types of posts on how to save money and still be fab, more often. Let me know what you think!

Jessica Simpson loves her doggy!

I think the Louis Vuitton dog carrier was popularized mostly by JESSICA SIMPSON during the taping of her reality show "Newlyweds" with former husband Nick Lachey. She just haaad to have the carrier and when the puppy grew, she went back and got the bigger case.

But it looks as if Simpson has moved on from her LV obsession, and gravitated toward another high end designer. She was recently spotted in the airport with NFL baller boyfriend carrying her beloved Daisy (I think that's the name) in a Gucci dog carrier.

Now I have never even seen this before, and I must admit...it's pretty dope. She probably had it specially made for her, which is cool too. Daisy is damn lucky! I wish someone would carry me around in thousand dollar bags all day! :)

I am loving the desire men have lately to step it up a notch. The tailored look really does it for me!

Of course there's DIDDY, in his gray suit, with a vest. He is actually wearing a plaid dress shirt and checkered tie. If you would have just explained that to me, I'd definitely say it would look horrible but it works here. Very nice Mr. Combs!

Rising star, NATE PARKER attended the People's Choice Awards in all black and I think it's nearly impossible to go wrong with this look. It always looks so clean and polished, even when one opts for no tie!

TYRESE attended his birthday party recently also looking suited and booted. And from the looks of things, the checkered tie and patterned shirt is the thing to do. I'll be on the lookout for that.

I even convinced my Mother to buy me 5 different backpacks, all of which I would switch up to match my ensemble for the day. I guess that was the beginning of my current obsession with handbags. That said, I am talking about over 10 years ago....and I have since realized that this is NOT fashion. Matching colors is one thing, but monogram Louis Vuitton print is a whole other ball game. I mean seriously BRANDY! Who told you this was okay? You know I love you and that amazing voice but I truly cannot get with the LV Mini Monogram Lin bag and boots combination. I think it looks tacky. A simple brown boot would have been juuust fine.
